BBC documentary ‘The Met’

The BBC documentary series ‘The Met: Policing London’ has now reached Episode 4. The last episode will be screened next Monday, 6th July at 9pm.

The group viewings at Haverstock School on the day following each episode have been well attended, especially by members of local Safer Neighbourhood panels, with lively Q&A sessions in which senior Camden police management have responded to points raised by the audience. A major issue arising from last Monday’s episode, featuring Camden police dealing with a typical 12-hour winter night shift, is the extent to which today’s police service often has to deal with highly disturbed individuals who really need the support of mental health professionals and social services — support that may not be available during night-time hours.

The Camden police senior management team would like to invite you to attend a private showing of the last episode of the series, with a confidence debate and questions on policing held afterwards.
This event will be held at Haverstock School in the library from 6.30pm on Tuesday the 7th of July. The school address is 24, Haverstock Hill NW3 2BQ. A short walk from Chalk Farm tube station.
Teas and coffees will be provided.
